Do I need to bring a mat?

All props are supplied at the studio. There is no need for you to bring your own mat unless you would like to.

 

What do I wear?

Comfortable clothing like some track pants or leggings and a t-shirt.

 

Do I need to book for a drop-in class?

All our classes are casual drop-in. This means you do not have to pre-book for classes. However our Monday night class is very busy so please arrive 10 minute early to secure a spot.

 

Do you take debit or credit cards?

The studio is cash only, there is an eftpos machine three doors away.

 

What are your prices?

If I’ve never done yoga before which class should I take?

Our Beginners/Gentle classes are ideal for those starting out with yoga. We would also recommend our Mindful cocktail class and either of our meditation classes. Click here for a description of the class and here for our schedule.

 

Is there a student discount?

We offer concession prices for students. Please click here for a list of our prices.

 

Are you open on public holidays?

The studio is closed on public holidays. Please check our schedule page for specific times.

 

Do you hire out your studio?

Yes we do hire out the studio. It is available weekends after midday and during the day week days. Please write to us at contact@theyogalab.com.au to find out more. Please click here for pictures of our studio.

 

Do I need to book for a Private Consult session?

Do I need to have dance experience to join your movement classes?

Our movement classes are accessible for all levels of experience. They are a wonderful compliment to your yoga practice and help you to explore and develop new ways of moving. Click here for our schedule.

 

If I have an injury what should I do?

Please notify the teacher at the beginning of class of any injuries or scenarios you think he or she should know. This is to ensure your safety and that we can give you the best support possible. What style of yoga do you teach?

At The Yoga Lab we celebrate the teacher, his or her training and ideas around yoga and movement education. We are not style specific. A number of our teachers have a strong grounding in Anusara Yoga among various other styles. Is the Beyond General Level Yoga class for me?

This class is about going a little further than you might in a general level yoga class. If you’d like to play with some more challenging poses then this might be just your ticket. This is not an advanced class yet it is not suitable for beginners or those with injuries or chronic pain. click here for class description.
